Its hardwearing nature comes from Black Basalt Tiles' geology. As an igneous rock, Black Basalt Stone is formed when hot magma bursts through the earth's crust and cools rapidly. This facilitates the forming of small crystals throughout the stone, creating the effect of a mid-sized grain. Whilst it is naturally porous, due to its tiny holes, once the stone is sealed it becomes fairly stain-resistant and incredibly durable. This makes Black Basalt Tiles ideal for use in almost any area of the home, including bathrooms where water is likely to occur and high-traffic areas such as hallways and kitchens. Black Basalt Paving Slab can even be used for exterior applications such as garden patios and walls.
